Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, the purposes for which it is used, and the limited situations in which another party may receive it. By continuing to use Llano County Criminal History, you accept the practices stated here.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or location entered into a search tool is sent directly to the third-party company operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email sent to us may be retained so the team can respond. It remains within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.

Data We Gather Automatically

Our servers receive certain technical details whenever a page loads:

  • The date and time of each page view
  • Your device's assigned IP address
  • The referring website, when one is available
  • Your browser type and version
  • The operating system and kind of device used
  • Pages visited and the time spent on them

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files saved on a device. They and analytics services help us view traffic in aggregate, including popular pages and common exit points. A browser can be set to reject cookies, although some site functions may then behave differently.

What We Do With This Data

  • Diagnosing and repairing technical problems
  • Operating the site and maintaining acceptable load times
  • Routing a search request to the selected partner service
  • Understanding which pages are useful and which may need improvement
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

We do not build, store, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site provides general directions to records held by the Llano County Sheriff's Office, county court clerks, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report or a third-party criminal record.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted through a box is governed by that partner's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices rather than this policy. Review the provider's terms before entering a query because we do not control those practices.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to Llano County offices, Texas agencies, court portals, legal resources, or outside search services. Once you follow an outbound link, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read it before providing personal information.

Some advertising companies may track activity across websites to select targeted ads. Their systems conduct that tracking, not ours.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Information may still be received by:

  • Analytics providers that measure site traffic and performance
  • Advertising networks that place ads on the pages
  • Search providers processing a query submitted through their tools
  • Government or law enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order

How We Protect Your Data

Standard security measures are used to protect the information we collect. No internet-connected service can guarantee perfect security, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

The site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If information from a minor is identified, a deletion request may be made.

Your Data Rights

Applicable Texas law may provide further rights. The Texas Public Information Act in Government Code Chapter 552 governs public information held by government bodies, while criminal-history dissemination by Texas DPS is addressed in Government Code Chapter 411. Those public-record laws do not turn this private site into a government custodian. At a minimum, you may:

  • Opt out of certain types of data processing
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
  • Request a copy of information held about you

Updates to This Policy

This privacy policy may be revised. A new version becomes available on this page with an updated effective date, so visitors should review it from time to time.
